I almost quit tech
Not once. Not twice.
But the kind of “quit” where you close your laptop, curl up in bed, and wonder if any of this is even worth it.
I was tired.
Burnt out from learning, freelancing, trying to make ends meet, and hearing things like “Are you sure this tech thing is for you?”
At one point, I had just lost a client who owed me money.
I was broke and exhausted, and nothing I did seemed to be working. I remember lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking, “Maybe I should just go get a ‘normal job’ like everyone else.”
But then something happened.
I was scrolling through Facebook when the message came in. A Facebook friend had recommended me for a a job at a tech company.
And that was my reminder: success takes time and even in the journey, you’ll experience hard times.
It isn’t about having all the jobs and millions overnight.
It is about creating, offering value, and showing up ALWAYS.

That pulled me out of my pity party. It reminded me that there was hope and truly, there is.
So if you’re in that place where you’re second-guessing yourself, here’s what I’ll tell you:
The jobs don’t come immediately.
You might have a job period then go a long time without a job.
Learning might be hard.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need everyone to believe in you.
You just need one reason to keep going.
I’m glad I didn’t quit.
Have you ever been at that point in your life?
